My approach to counselling is relational. The foundation of any work we do together will be based on me developing a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship with you where you may feel safe enough to explore what's going on. I have a warm, calm, non-judgemental and open-minded approach to my work. I will hold space for you to explore difficult or distressing thoughts or feelings but I also recognise the importance of humour in therapy. I am a trauma-informed practitioner, which means working with you in a way that establishes safety, trust and respect for diversity and cultural differences.
I work with clients who may be struggling with their identity, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions, or difficult life transitions. My approach is to get to the core of who you are, establish your strengths and what motivates you so that we can work together to get you back on track and have a clearer view of how you can move forward.
If you are interested in how we might work together, then please see my website for more information about me, and specific areas of skills and interest. Your experience of counselling is important to me and I'm happy to have a chat around your specific access needs. I always offer a free initial call with new clients so feel free to get in contact.
