Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Mariam and I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with adults with mental health problems. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) both of which are evidence based psychological approaches to treat a wide range of emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), adjustment difficulties, self esteem etc. I also work with couples.

I work collaboratively with my client to understand how their psychological difficulties first developed and what are the factors that are maintaining them and ways in which we can overcome them to bring about positive change and alleviate their distress. I offer bespoke interventions which match a client's individual problems.
I am passionate and compassionate in the therapeutic work I do with my clients. I believe that individuals have the potential to learn, grow and change aspects of themselves which they wish to improve - with the right support.
