I recognize that sometimes life can feel hard and that it can really help to talk to someone. I offer a calm, open, empathetic, and non- judgmental space in which you can feel heard, understood and begin to make sense of things. Whether you come for short or longer-term work, my wish is that eventually you move forward into a future which feels right for you. I am a sensitive culturally aware, LGBTQI affirmative practitioner, who works with people from all walks of life and the community. Having completed level 1 of my EMDR training, I also offer these sessions, subject to assessment, at reduced cost.
As an integrative practitioner, I tailor my approach to suit you. I draw mostly upon the psychodynamic, humanistic and existential traditions, as well as some body and trauma-based approaches. Working collaboratively and relationally, I aim to meet your needs, whether to process the past, build your inner resources, create a new future.
I bring to my work a warmth, respect and empathy which arises from my own rich life journey and self-development. I know that reaching out can feel hard, so offer a free exploratory 15 minute phone call, and then initial two sessions to see if you feel comfortable working with me.
