I have been in recovery for over 20 years as well as having the re;evant tacademic and professional qualifications, I am a highly experienced substance abuse counsellor with a Master’s degree in Addiction Psychology & Counselling. I’m also a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) with over 10 years’ experience, working for most of the drug and alcohol services in the southeast and southwest of England. I am able to offer my services (either in person in my safe practice or over the internet to assist individuals who may be struggling with their levels of alcohol/drug use.
For me, the two key tenets of any therapeutic relationship are the swift estalishment of rapport and trust in a safe setting. sI use a range of appropriate counselling techniques that will be adjusted to suit the client's individual needs in general. Highly empathetic and person-centered. Working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Stewart was an excellent alcohol counsillor that I couldnt recommend more highly. With his guidance and care I was not only able to abstain from alcohol but began to believe in myself again. I finally saw the old me the one I had missed for so long.. The me without alcohol and it made me feel so alive and full of hope. I'll always be grateful for his help.
