No two people are the same, so why should counselling be any different? I don’t work with a one size fits all approach and I like to tailor my work around you, what feels comfortable and what works for you. I may also be able to bring a different perspective to counselling due to the fact that I’m a younger male counsellor. My background is in Psychodynamic Counselling; that is acknowledging that the our past and childhood experiences can have an influence on the here and now and the way in which we interact with others in our current lives. It also takes into account the importance of the unconscious mind.
I have experience working with the emergency services and have a depth of understanding of those from that background should this be particularly helpful. I champion men seeking out support for their mental health, I’m also interested in relationships, couples and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I'm also able to accommodate those who work shifts.
Sessions are typically once a week, on the same day and at the same time so that you can rely on your space being there for you. We can work open ended or agree on a set number of sessions, whichever works best for you. I can offer face to face sessions in central Chelmsford or I’m happy to work remotely with you anywhere in the UK.
