When considering the type of counselling you want, it's important to know which therapy will suit your needs. I've spent many years honing my skills using various approaches and theories. Whether you prefer online or face-to-face sessions in a safe space. My online services are national. I believe that investing in your relationships is one of the most significant steps toward empowering both yourself and your partner and is one of the most important aspects of a happy life. Not every relationship is destined to last but choosing to explore every avenue for connection and repair allows you to walk away knowing you gave it your all.

There are times in our lives when we notice that we don’t feel ok and that we need to move from that place, but don’t know how. In these times, counselling can offer a safe, private and confidential space to notice and share anything which doesn’t feel ok. It offers room to take care of, and notice ourselves. Only you can know best. I feel that through the relationship of counsellor and client we can work to notice or re-notice yourself. We might also find new ways of learning to cope with the pressures of life, or re-find old ways of supporting yourself that you have forgotten. (We can work creatively if you enjoy that).

I am here to help you to start to move forward with more awareness of what’s going on for you and a way to build self-compassion and inner resources. I'm especially (but not exclusively!) interested in supporting older women - peri, mid, or post-menopause . This time is so tricky with the physical changes you'll be experiencing and the changes in your inner world. You may be less tolerant of what seemed ok before! So many women I speak to talk of feeling lost, wondering "what now?" If you've had children they're also likely to be flying the nest just around this time. I offer the space to sit back, be, let it all out and regroup,

There can be many obstacles for children during their development. These can be varied and can include developmental difficulties such as autism, illnesses within a family unit, separation and divorce, or difficulties with learning. Many children and young people will navigate these issues, however others may present with difficulties with sleeping and eating, or behaviour that is challenging for a family or school; or they could present with symptoms of anxiety and depression. When this happens, families can feel confused, frustrated, isolated and misunderstood.

The move towards seeking therapy is a big step, and one that can quite easily become daunting. There are numerous modalities, acronyms and approaches; finding the right one for you can be difficult. I aim to simplify this with my clients, by providing a grounded and present listening ear, backed up my the theory I have studied. As we get to know each other the approach you are looking for will generally become clearer. My training as an Integrative practitioner means I can draw upon various modalities, which I have found to be very helpful for 'meeting' the client exactly where they are at.

Life doesn’t always make sense, and sometimes challenges can feel hard to manage. You might be dealing with loss or past experiences that feel difficult. You could be struggling with confidence or self-esteem, or feeling uncertain about where to turn — especially if you often feel out of step with others. I offer a calm, warm, gentle space where I listen carefully. I stay with you as you work through what’s happening, and reflect on your thoughts and feelings. I understand that people experience the world differently — for example, in neurodivergent ways — and you’ll be supported exploring things in a way that makes sense for you.

Life will sometimes take us down paths we havn't asked for, causing us to loose sense of our true self, dulling our energy and bringing uncertainty in how we choose to live. Talking does help. It gives you the chance to bring all your concerns and worries into a safe space where I can help you sort through each of them. With careful exploration we can identify what you might like to change and how to make the change. Life will feel easier and lighter as you start to gain control over how you choose to live it.

Are you struggling with a sense of meaninglessness, isolation and hopelessness, leading to feelings of fear and anxiety? Often we seek therapy when we start to become aware of being stuck in the same old patterns but have no idea of why or how to change things. Perhaps you are facing significicant challenges in your life - major life changes like divorce, redundancy, bereavement, illness or loss and you're stuggling to navigate your way through it? Or perhaps you are trying to cope with the effects of past trauma. Life has become unbearable and you're struggling to find a way forward. You want and need something to change?

Whether you have a specific issue you know you want to sort out, or a general uneasy sense of something "not quite right", I offer you the time, space and support you feel you want. Sessions may involve a gentle "person centred" exploration, or more challenging and deeper work. The best style of therapy for you will become apparent when we first talk and your first session will give you the best opportunity to decide on how you would like to proceed and whether I am a suitable counsellor for YOU.

Hello :) I’m a neurodiverse, queer counsellor offering down to earth support to people feeling lost, alone, powerless, and unsure how to cope. Working together effectively cuts through the noise of everyday life, allowing you to hear yourself and your needs more clearly. My approach is integrative, drawing predominantly from person centred counselling (we are equal), Gestalt (working towards wholeness) and existential counselling (what is this life all about?). By creating and offering a curious and hopeful space, I hope to help you to listen and respond to your emotions with love, understanding and empowerment.
