My name is Peace Anumah and I have been working in the field of mental health since 2004, with over fourteen years experience in the counselling/therapy field. My private practice is pieceintopeace.com. In my practice, I create a safe space where my clients can feel relaxed and can openly speak, scream, cry, vent and charge forward with fierce determination to a more rewarding life. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where individuals, couples and families can have time and space to explore and understand their thoughts and feelings, helping them navigate through the complexities of family life, work, relationship etc.
I hold a Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Sociology. Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy (Distinction) and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Accreditation and Membership. I use a combination of different therapeutic approaches such as Client-centred; CBT; Psycho-dynamic; Systemic; Narrative and Solution-focused.
As a trauma informed therapist, I support individuals, couples and families, to create a vision and set goals to encourage them to remain organised and focused on their journey to therapeutic healing and change. With my strategies, clients are able to realise and learn how thought processes (the negative self-talk) impact feelings and behaviour.
