With 20 yrs Counselling and Psychology experience, I now seek to work with two main client groups. 1) Clients who've already reached a deeper understanding of their issues, symptoms & diagnoses (via therapy &/or self-help etc), but have found that these insights have not been sufficient to end their psychological suffering. And 2) Parents/carers/educators struggling with youngsters who can be violent, self-destructive &/or very defiant. These clients have found that traditional reward & punishment approaches fail to solve (or indeed actually escalate) the problem and are looking for an effective, trauma-sensitive alternative.
For client group 1), I pick-up where many other therapies end, offering Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) to unlock & processes stuck traumas & distress. Clients tend to find AIT gentler than EMDR - more specifically-targeted with fewer unexpected, jarring surprises. For 2), I offer Nonviolent Resistance (NVR) - proven, specific, systemic strategies.
If you fall into either or both of these client groups, you are very welcome to text me your contact details and we'll arrange a 10-20 minute telephone chat to see if what I offer might be of help to you - I look forward to speaking with you.
