As an integrative therapist with a background in neuroscience I like provide a non judgmental environment while using psycho-education as a way of explaining what is going on in the mind, to lead towards certain decisions that we make and then how those decisions lead back to our emotions. I combine multidisciplinary approaches using motivational interviewing to find your strengths, CBT as a way of finding triggers and solutions. To explore alternative ways of finding happiness and motivation in life. I also offer supervision to other therapists.
I have a Masters in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy and a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. I have worked in a range of different settings from sexual health, mental health, detox units, private practice, intellectual disability and homelessness. I provide a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings while using evidence based approaches.
In my practice I provide a space for you to develop trust to share emotions that you may be going through, while providing a holding space that we can explore what is going on for you. We can then explore what aspects of our life are important to us and what aspects are having a negative impact on us. Then we can work through tools to deal our concerns.
