I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) working in Church Crookham, GU52. I am naturally warm, non-judgemental and empathetic, I will provide you with a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space to talk through whatever is troubling you in your life. I have my own experience of mental health issues and know the impact it can have on all areas of life including physical health, replying "I'm ok" to that age old question of "how are you?" I wasn't OK at all, it was all to protect others as well as myself.
My approach is based upon integrative counselling and is primarily non-directive, based upon the person centred approach. I believe counselling enables you to reflect upon yourself and your difficulties. I can offer you a safe environment where you can choose which issue you wish to work on and to take the lead in exploring what it is that troubling you.
It's hard to show the real, raw and vulnerable you, it's also scary. The counselling relationship is built on trust and I will work alongside you to help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings. You won't need to hide behind anything, in my counselling room you can be open and honest, no-one will judge or criticise. It's OK not to be OK.
