I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist, trained at the Tavistock and Portman. I have extensive experience in therapeutic work with children, young people, and adults presenting with a wide range of emotional, social, developmental, and behavioural difficulties. I have worked with different presentations such as Autism, developmental concerns, ADHD, behavioural or social difficulties, depression, social withdrawal or communication difficulties, low self-esteem, underachieving, self-harming, identity conflicts and bereavement, among others.
The therapeutic process begins with an initial meeting in which the reason for the consultation is addressed and explored.
The therapy aims to understand the factors that influence emotional difficulties which may be interfering with a healthy development. In my work with children is of vital importance to work in alliances with parents to reach a shared understanding of the challenges faced by them at different stages of their life.
