I am a very experienced and fully qualified psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor based in both central Exeter and Broadclyst. I am accredited by the UKCP and hold an Msc in TA psychotherapy. With many years experience, I provide a confidential, and impartial space where you can talk about difficult thoughts or emotional issues. I specialise in working with my clients to improve their quality of life and relationships. My role in offering both counselling and psychotherapy is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing, develop the skills to know and accept yourself and to make changes that are right for you.
My practice is based on relational Transactional Analysis but I have also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT). This allows me to create an environment that supports making both thinking and behavioural changes and also provides an opportunity to explore associated feelings and underlying beliefs.
My style is a dynamic approach that emphasises action and change, sometimes it can take a relatively short time to find your direction and find resolution and sometimes you may prefer to sit longer with the process of discovery.
