I am an experienced psychotherapist trained in EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and CBT. I integrate elements of these therapy approaches to create an intervention that is responsive and matched to your individual needs and hopes for therapy. My approach is rooted in attachment theory and scientific understanding of the impact of adversity, trauma and chronic stress on our relationships and neurobiology (mind-body connection).
I offer a non-judgemental space to explore whatever difficulties you may have with curiosity, compassion and sensitivity. These may be difficulties in the present, such as depression, anxiety, anger, traumatic events, life transitions, relationship challenges and loss. They may also be linked to the past and childhood experiences such as abuse and neglect.
I respect and admire the courage it takes be vulnerable with another human being and I feel honoured when someone chooses to share their story with me.
