I am a Psychotherapist, specialising in Family and Couples Psychotherapy. I have worked for 12 years with children and families in the NHS, where I practise as a Team Lead and Senior Family Therapist. I aim to provide a warm, safe and confidential space to talk about family life, individual experiences, or anything that might be causing pain or distress. I work with families, children and adolescents where there are relationship difficulties, as well as mental health challenges. I also offer parenting support, and behavioural strategies for children and teenagers.
I specialise in couples therapy, using an emotionally focused approach. I have experience working with couples who are facing difficulties in their relationship, working through communication challenges and emotional distress. Additionally, I support couples who are considering separation.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation, so that we can discuss a therapy tailored to your specific needs. It also gives you the opportunity to get to know me. Having a good rapport and relationship with your therapist is an important part of therapy, and leads to better outcomes. If you choose to proceed I tend to suggest an initial 3-6 sessions.
