I am an integrative trauma-informed psychotherapist, and began my career working in the field of eating disorders and addiction (both substance and process). My approach to therapy is to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment which can facilitate both healing and hope. I believe the relationship between the client and therapist to be the most fundamental and important aspect of therapy, with trust being the cornerstone of this.
Other qualifications include a Diploma in Eating Disorder Skills from the National Centre for Eating Disorders, where I am a member of their clinical team. I have been a qualified EMDR practitioner since 2008, and have trained with Pia Mellody at the Meadows, Arizona. This led to facilitating trauma reduction programmes both in the UK and Switzerland.
I believe we all have the capacity to heal from within and am passionate about helping people to discover that ability, leading to wellbeing, hope and personal growth.... where increased self esteem and healthy boundaries come naturally. Life has its ups and downs, but learning to recognise triggers and regulate responses is a gift that everyone deserves.
