I am a highly experienced substance abuse specialist with a Master’s degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling. I’m a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) with over ten years’ experience, working for the majority of drug and alcohol services across the southeast. I now seek to offer my services (either in person at our discreet practice or on Zoom) to assist individuals who may be struggling with their own levels of alcohol/drug intake and who are either wishing to cut down or stop altogether.
For me, the two key tenets of any therapeutic relationship are the swift estalishment of rapport and trust in a safe setting. sI use a range of appropriate counselling techniques that will be adjusted to suit the client's individual needs in general. Highly empathetic and person-centered. Working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I have also been in recovery for over 19 years, so together with my qualifications, plus 10 years in the sector, I believe I have a fuller understanding of the issues surrounding addiction.
