I am licensed in the UK with 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, managing emotions, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. I worked for the NHS in many roles first as a mental health worker and then as a qualified psychologist. have experience working with young people and adults presenting with a variety of difficulties whether acute or long standing. I am an expert assessor of risk in domestic abuse cases and also carry out psychological and cognitive assessments.
My approach is integrative, using mainly cognitive behavioural therapy but also psychodynamic and systemic ideas to meet the unique needs o f each client. I am also mindful of cultural issues and my doctoral thesis was focused on the interplay between culture and mental health/well-being.
