Counselling in OX1
I have been working for over 23 years with people who have a wide range of issues including, relationship and work problems, low self esteem, addictions and other forms of self harm, abuse, eating disorders, bereavement as well as people who suffer from stress and anxiety or feel low, depressed and suicidal. I am also qualified to work with couples and groups about relationships. Most of my training and work as a counsellor has been about really learning to listen to people, hearing the ‘music’ behind their words and sensing their deepest feelings, hurts, joys and fears as it is then that therapeutic healing can occur.

Often, we’re so busy keeping the wheels turning that we don't notice the engine is stalling. I help men look 'under the bonnet' to understand what’s driving their stress, anger, or anxiety.
Whether it’s burnout from a high-pressure career or struggling with a sense of loss, I provide a down-to-earth, jargon-free space to figure things out. With 13 years of experience and a background in the corporate world, I understand that you want practical solutions, not just talk.

Working face to face & online as a therapist I seek to establish a safe space where you are able to explore those challenges in your life that keep you from moving forward or from leading the life that you aspire to have. Working as wilderness therapist I also run 3 week 'Rites of Passage' journeys to the Himalayas for young adults and 3-week 'Reflection Journeys' for mature adults wanting to take stock of where they are today & where they want to be tomorrow. These journeys start in Kathmandu trekking through Mustang to the Tibetan border.

Feeling lost, burnt out, or like you’ve fallen behind? If you’re in your 30s, 40s or 50s and wondering “How did I end up here?” — you’re in the right place.
Do you feel unheard, overwhelmed, a loss of self or confidence, stuck in unhelpful coping mechanisms or patterns? Do you feel like your worth is tied to pleasing others, or how useful or 'perfect' you can be? Do you feel like your past is impacting your present? Is your inner critic running the show?
I work with women who are tired of holding it all together, of living in survival mode and meeting everyone else's needs but your own.

You may seem to the world to be successful, sure of yourself, and in control whilst feeling increasingly isolated as you battle, perhaps in secret, with your fear, anxiety, loneliness or past. You may sense that part of you is hidden, maybe even from yourself, tripping you up when it matters most, that your life is not quite what you hoped or your choices are unfulfilling. You may wish to know your own heart, to be on your own side, and to be able engage authentically and meaningfully with your life. Working together we can listen out for your quiet inner voice, the one that already knows you and already knows how to be.

You are the expert on yourself an only you can decide what might work for you. We will form a plan together, perhaps over the course of two to three sessions, of how we can proceed, and what we collaboratively believe is going on for you. You will find my practice is based on a humanistic, integrative, pluralistic blending of possibilities from several frameworks, including CBT, Gestalt, Compassion Focused Therapy, ideas from psychodynamic practice, with a person-centred, humanistic core.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve ever felt misunderstood or dismissed in traditional settings, or unsure how to express yourself. Many neurodivergent clients find that previous therapy hasn’t fully understood their experience. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and accommodating space where you can feel understood and valued exactly as you are.
I work with an integrative approach, placing you at the heart of therapy in a safe, judgment-free space. My approach is flexible and fluid, adapting to your unique needs and preferences.

If you are going through a tough time in your life, a lot of emotions are coming up right now, and it all feels a little overwhelming - my heart goes out to you. The hardest step is often reaching out for support and I am honoured you are considering working together. Having a dedicated space to be heard, explore our inner world and past experiences in a compassionate space can offer clarity and healing. My intention as a therapist is to create a space for you where the masks can drop, your authenticity can emerge and you feel supported in slowly reconnecting to the wisdom within.

I specialise in anxiety, (including OCD), perinatal mental health, and trauma leading to attachment/relationship struggles. You might find yourself stuck in a loop of anxiety, or have thoughts that you feel too embarrassed to share. Maybe you have to force yourself out of bed, only to have another day that’s miserable. You might feel you’ve reached a stagnant point in life, feel anxious in your relationships, or maybe you’re going through huge change, like a break up or having a baby. Many people reach out to me to start therapy facing these problems. My aim is that you leave therapy feeling in control, happier, and understood

Everybody needs somebody to talk to; a listener, supporter, and guide through life's challenges. I work with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families navigating marriage, divorce, parenting changes, empty nest transitions, adolescent struggles, miscarriage, menopause, bereavement, chronic illness, relocation, and other major life events. These experiences can create stress, conflict, and uncertainty, but they can also become opportunities for growth and connection. Together, we explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop practical ways forward toward a healthier, more fulfilling future.
