Hi, my name is Guy and I'm a Integrative Relational Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. Most of my clients have become perfectionists or people pleasers as a survival response to dealing with Narcissistic or Borderline Parents. I work primarily with clients that have suffered complex relational trauma such as emotional neglect or psychological abuse or consider themselves to be Neurodivergent. I work to reduce the symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, Low self-esteem, Self-loathing, and Toxic shame.

I work to build trust and a sense of safety to give the client something they may never have experienced before. I listen with genuine curiosity while validating the clients reality. Over time we will work on building self esteem, self compassion and learn to seek out healthy relationships, set firm boundaries and reduce self-defeating behaviours.

Asking for help can be very challenging. We may have spent our whole life learning that no one is there for us and that the only way to survive is to be independent and self sufficient. This can be a valuable survival strategy but as we grow it gets harder to change and we can find ourselves cut off from the vitality and healing relationships can bring.
