I am an HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist and BABCP Registered CBT Psychotherapist with 15 years' experience in mental health. I have been trained in different models of therapy (psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT) and use elements of cognitive analytic therapy and compassion focused therapy to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet my clients' needs. Above and beyond differences in theoretical approach, I focus on creating a caring and containing space where distressing feelings and thoughts can be shared and understood. I have a particular interest in working with grief and loss, and supporting people develop assertiveness.
Together we will try and make sense of your difficulties, understand what changes might be helpful in your life and explore ways these can take place. These could be around the way you relate to other people in your life and/or how you treat yourself. Arriving at such insights in a compassionate way can be vital to the process of change.
