My experience in secondary schools working with children and young people has given me an understanding of how challenging life can be for our children. Often parents/carers find themselves feeling helpless as they see their child experience anxiety, low self esteem, self harm, isolation, suicidal ideation... I have been a practicing counsellor for children and young people in schools, agency settings and in private practice for over 5 years. My specialist qualification is in children and young people and I am an accredited member of the BACP demonstrating a higher standard as a competent, ethical and independent practitioner.

I use an integrative approach as I do not believe that one style fits all. This means that I will suggest utilising the most appropriate approach according to individual needs and wants. The main approaches I work with, but not limited to, are TA (Transactional Analysis), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Humanistic Therapies. I am also a qualified Europe and UK EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) therapist, a treatment with great success for different types of trauma, PTSD, assaults, rape, phobias, illness, injury, anxiety, self-esteem, stage fright/ performance/ tests and relationship issues.

I am a psychodynamic Psychotherapist, qualifying at one of London's leading clinical and academic institutions, WPF Therapy. I also hold a voluntary position at an NHS Counselling and Psychotherapy service at a category B prison. My experience tells me through self-reflection and a solid understanding of our thoughts, feelings and intentions, we can all improve our quality of wellbeing. Through decades of working 1-2-1 with people, I understand that therapy provides a safe and supportive space that can help you grow as a person.
