I am a qualified Relational Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, My theoretical approach is a combination of relational psychodynamics, humanistic and CBT techniques. As a relational integrative counsellor I use a blend of approaches tailored to each client as I believe no single approach suits all people, but always keeping the relationship the main focus. I always aim to provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment to explore and reflect on your issues and concerns.

When life starts to feel as though it's spinning out of control, this is often a warning sign to seek support. You might suffer from increased anxiety, depression, lack of motivation or constantly feel that you aren't good enough or worthy of being loved. Sometimes we become so focused on living up to the expectations of others, that we can lose sight of who we really are. It gets harder to function effectively, relationships start to break down or we enter a mode of existing rather than living life to its full potential.

Im a very intuitive therapist, i feel and sense someone before they sit down. I am confident in using tools to support and hold you while you find your way to answers you may seek. Do you have to make a difficult decision? Do you still have pain from the past interfering with now? Or perhaps you just need to find ways to cope?

Life can be hard sometimes and struggling with things in isolation can be a lonely place to be. I offer a space for you to share things that you can’t to anyone else, and know that you won’t be judged. When you sit with me in the therapeutic space, my attention is fully and exclusively for you. I create the space for you to talk and explore your feelings; what may be going on underneath the feelings and how your life experiences have shaped you.

I view seeing a psychologist for ones’ mental well being in the same way as having a personal trainer for physical fitness. It makes good health sense. How many sessions and how often depends on the issue and what works best for you. If you have difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, complex trauma, PTSD, OCD, stress or just want to learn more about yourself, I’m here to help. As a psychologist, I’m able to help increase our understanding of ourselves and how any issues have come about and developed in the first place. This understanding can offer much relief in itself but also help to guide the treatment.

Using an integrative relational model of psychotherapy I build an approach which is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each individual client. My approach is predominantly talking based but I always incorporate the body as a way of accessing deeply held emotions. You may want to address a specific issue such as anxiety, panic attacks or a difficult life event. On the other hand you may want to examine something more deep rooted and indefinable. Perhaps you have noticed a recurring pattern of behaviour which is causing you pain in your life, or more general feelings of depression or unhappiness.

Hello I'm Clara and thank you for visiting my page. Talking to someone about issues you may be facing can often be difficult, so well done for making that first step. Searching for a counsellor can also prove difficult and it is important to find the right one for you. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between you and your counsellor. There are many approaches to counselling and as an Integrative Counsellor I work with several theoretical approaches such as Person Centred, Gestalt, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I also offer creative ways of working.

Hello, my name is Debbie and I am an accredited, multi award winning psychotherapist, who has studied psychotherapy for ten years. I help clients gain a deeper understanding of their self by working through obstacles, exploring why these may have arisen, and how to learn and move on from them. I know first-hand how daunting going into therapy can be, but even though making that first step is hard, it is undeniably a step towards healing. I offer confidential psychotherapy for children, teenagers, adults, couples and families, in a non-judgemental and supportive space, where a client can feel safe in expressing their feelings.

An experienced counsellor, I work with a broad range of issues with adults from all walks of life, including busy professional people who often worry that counselling is indulgent or shows weakness. Ultimately whatever our issue, we want relief - to finally express what we hide, to be truly heard, accepted, and for this process to actually help. I provide a safe, space for coming to terms with really difficult experiences. I help people get clarity on their situation, I support in finding ways to cope with life’s difficulties, and importantly, facilitate the process of being true to yourself.

How can I find a therapist in NP25?
Search for nearby therapists or counsellors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or postcode; or a provider’s name into the search bar. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or postcode into the search bar.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counsellors are all licensed mental health professionals. In many countries, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counsellor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counsellors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counsellor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counselling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
