I am an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist, with over 25 years experience working with children and young people. Alongside my CBT training I am trauma focused and have experience of working with children/young people who are experiencing thoughts of self harm/suicide, including people who have acted on those thoughts and also with people with autism and/or ADHD.
I have always been passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential and improving mental health can be the key. I work alogside my daughter who is a mental health practitioner.
Cognitive: working on thoughts, and behavioural: working on behaviours. A structured, evidenced-based psychological treatment which is goal orientated.
Application of skills and experiments practiced between sessions as homework tasks. Helping to understand and reverse unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.
We have worked with children and young people for many years and have dedicated our careers to understanding the struggles that they face.
Working collaboratively, we can identify beliefs and behaviours that are holding your child back and develop new, healthier patterns to improve psychological well-being.
