About
I understand that seeking therapy can be both comforting and daunting, but it can also be liberating and I commend individuals who reach out for help. Our pain can often be a message that there is something amiss in our lives, and I believe it is important that we listen to that message. Whether you are dealing with a difficult time in your life and need help managing the emotions and thoughts, I aim to assist individuals to better understand the relationship between their feelings and thoughts and explore ways to change maladaptive patterns.
I value a collaborative relationship with my clients and draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, along with various modalities including psychodynamic, existential, transpersonal, gestalt and humanistic practices. My approach takes into consideration the emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, social and cultural aspects of the individual.
The initial step can feel daunting. You may be feeling confused, isolated and anxious, and the idea of reaching out for help can seem overwhelming. You may also have questions as to what it all entails. For that reason, I am available for a confidential talk on the phone, prior to potentially arranging an assessment session.
