Hi, my name is Nishita and I am a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist. I have over 10 years of experience working with adults in the field of mental health both in clinical and forensic settings, 8 years experience working for a NHS Talking Therapies service, 5 years working in private practice. I am a fully qualified and registered by the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies), as a psychotherapist and couples therapist. I have extensive experience working with adults that are experiencing depression and anxiety disorders.
I specialise in low self-esteem issues; integrating practical coping skills together with addressing the root causes of the problem; enabling me to work short-term on a specific aspect of a person's life or work on a life long problem. My clients describe me as a 'straight talking' therapist which they appreciate.
I try to see the world as you do, then offer an alternative perspective to your problems. I help you to develop skills in self-reflection to allow you to self-manage your difficulties in future. This will help you to cope with the challenges of life more effectively. I believe in using integrated approaches to adapt my way of working for each client I meet.
