I use therapeutic methods that have a proven track record of effectiveness, my clients often experience change and movement from the first session or two. Therapy is based on Best Practice and Clinical Evidence, utilising 25yrs of clinical experience. I previously worked as NHS Adult Psychotherapist, Adult Psychotherapist with Psychiatric Out-Patients, Professional Debriefing and Training of Addiction Counsellors, NHS Public Health Advisor, Director of Psychotherapy at Regents University and Clinical Director in the private therapy sector. My approach incorporates Neuroscience, Trauma Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Body Approaches, Developmental Psychology, Psychoeducation, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic (root causes) and Humanistic Relational approaches. At times I also incorporate Positive Psychology-Mindset and Solution Focused coaching.
I particularly specialise in helping people: to control and manage anxiety or depression (including recurring negative thoughts); reducing-diminishing stress; developing robustness, resilience and confidence; building-strengthening relationships; improving career and work success; identifying and resolving repeating negative patterns that play out in life.
