My name’s Nigel. I’m lead counsellor at Nigel Turner Counselling in Harrogate and an associate counsellor at Serendipity counselling in York. In our lives we can all go through times that can feel overwhelming or difficult to manage. You may be feeling anxious or stressed about big changes in your life. You may be feeling stuck in patterns that you’re finding hard to change. You could be struggling to set healthy boundaries, Perhaps you’ve experienced a loss that you’re struggling to cope with. You could be questioning your own sense of identity. Or you might just be curious about therapy and wanting to understand yourself better.
I’m a person-centred integrative therapist. The space I offer is safe, trusting and non-judgmental. One where you feel heard, understood and accepted. There is flexibility in my approach but you’ll always be at the heart of the process. We can explore your issues to find clarity where there was confusion and choice where there was a feeling of being trapped.
I understand how hard it can be to reach out for help and finding the right therapist can feel daunting. That is why I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to give us a sense of how it might look to work together, and to see if you feel I’m the right therapist for you. Going forward I offer face-to-face sessions in Harrogate and also online sessions.
