Welcome. With a background in both Psychology & Psychotherapy I combine this training with lived experience to offer you empathy & validation, as well as support for you to change and grow. I integrate psychological, psychodynamic, DBT, CBT, sleep & brain-body approaches to tailor therapy to your needs. When we get things stabilised together, felt-safety established in your system, and more constructive coping strategies brought in, people who work with me tend to have increased self-awareness, self-esteem and self-care tools, as well as less self-criticism and improved psychological, physical & social health & wellbeing.
Priorities in therapy may be, though not limited to, your relationship with yourself, self-compassion, self-criticism, shame, safety, past or present stress, emotion & nervous system regulation, distress tolerance & resilience. There is a psychoeducational element to my therapy and a goal of mine is to ensure that you gain new knowledge & tools.
