Hi, I’m Nicky. I understand looking to begin counselling can bring up all sorts of feelings, from overwhelm to curiousity. I hope the information below paints a picture of what to expect when coming along to sessions what I could offer you.
You may be seeking counselling due to a life change such as a loss of a loved one or a job, or perhaps you feel at a crossroads with life or experiencing challenges in a relationship. Perhaps you’re feeling low and you don't know why or are finding it hard to find the words to explain how you feel? What you do know is that you're seeking support to figure things out, that's why you're here!
As a person centred counsellor, I offer a space, just for you, which is accepting and free from judgement. My warm, down to earth and curious nature, alongside being able to hold boundaries and confidentiality, I believe can gently encourage you to explore your options and inner resources so you can fulfil your potential and live the happy life you deserve.
Alongside 1:1 counselling, I've worked in mental health settings for over 25 years, facilitating support groups, mental health and wellbeing workshops. Through this, alongside enjoying working creatively, I have 'tool-kit' of insightful strategies and resources I can share with you in sessions, if appropriate, to gently support you to explore your issues.
