I am a psychologist specialising in working with clients who have experienced trauma, have emotional difficulties and struggle to cope. You may have a range of symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, depression, hopelessness, anxiety; you may avoid people or situations that trigger distressing memories; you may not feel safe, you may be hyper vigilant and have learnt to survive the only way you can. Having these experiences can make you distrust yourself and the world, you feel unsafe in your body and withdraw from others. Healing from trauma is about restoring that sense of safety so you can rejoin the world again.
Throughout my career, I have seen the devastating impact that traumatic experiences can have on peoples' lives. I offer a safe space for people to heal from trauma. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and the latest innovations in treatment. I can help people develop new pathways in their lives so they can move on positively from their experiences.
I can help you with any distressing experiences; from life threatening situations to phobias and childhood emotionally upsetting incidents. I understand that asking for help can often be difficult, especially if you have already withdrawn from the world.
