Hello & welcome. My name is Nicola, I work with adults & teens with varying presenting issues from all different walks of life. I specialize in reducing anxiety by looking at coping mechanisms as well as the root causes. I am undergoing further training to work with under 16s & am interested in helping young people with their struggles and challenges, including those who do not identify as the gender they were born. My psychotherapy modality, Transactional Analysis allows me to tailor sessions to you, the individual, rather than just your current symptoms. I am currently offering reduced rates for children 12 - 15 years old.
I very much enjoy working with all presentations because I work with the person, not just the symptoms to make lasting and meaningful changes that can help you in all areas of your life, not just your presenting symptoms. I have worked a lot with anxiety, helping to prevent escalation into worsening states and showing you ways to meet it so that it reduces.
Because starting counselling can feel daunting, I offer a 15 minute call or zoom so we can have an initial chat. I'll meet you where you are in your journey and answer any questions you may have. You & I are equals in this process & we will go at your pace. Remember you can’t get anything wrong being a client, you just need to show up, the rest will unfold.
