My qualifying training is as a humanistic integrative psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor. I have since undergone extensive post qualifying training, study and experience to enable me to work in a way which is Jungian Oriented. I have 35 years experience working with individuaIs, families and groups. After working in independent organisations as well as Health and Social care, I set up my own independent private therapy service and teaching centre. My hope has been to create a space where all individuals feel respected, accepted, supported and understood in order that to fully understand themselves and their place in the world.
In therapy, the individual becomes increasingly aware of what unconscious issues influence their behaviour. With greater awareness of these issue comes a greater sense of well-being and an opportunity to make better choices in the various aspects of one’s life. Working in depth can involve dream work, sand tray, guided imagery, art and active imagination.
I am told that my style is warm and open, and that I can also be challenging when needed. I tend to be able to “get to the bottom” of most issues. I also appreciate humour appreciate that not all therapy has to be deadly serious. My clients tell me that they appreciate my directness and my unfailing support, especially in the most challenging circumstances.
