I am a counsellor and psychotherapist who is interested in helping clients find a sense of meaning and purpose in their lives, coping with anxiety and depression and helping them find more fulfilling relationships. I enjoy working with people who feel like 'outsiders', and also have a wealth of experience in working with addictions and integrating disturbing experiences - including clients who want to integrate experiences with psychedelic substances, or have recovered from psychosis. I am also interested in working with people who have been in relationships which have been abusive, helping them to learn to move forward into new more healthy relationships.
I have been working for a few years with clients who are trying to integrate difficult or psychedelic experiences by using the tools of Transpersonal integrative psychotherapy. I work through dream analysis, creative work and looking at psychodynamics of their relationships and our therapeutic relationship in the here and now.
Although I offer a supportive and open space for my clients emotions, I believe that therapy should have a practical effect on their day-to-day life and try to help them to achieve this.
