About
Hello, my name is Nichola. I am a CBT Therapist based in Derbyshire, UK. I offer face to face and remote appointments. I aim to work alongside clients to help better understand their difficulties. CBT can help shine a light on how we can find ourselves in a vicious cycle. CBT will focus on breaking these cycles to build on a positive cycle. I have had the privilege of supporting young people, adults and couples over the last 20 years with a range of difficulties to include addictions, depression, social anxiety, OCD, phobias, health anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, low self esteem, work related stress and menopause.
CBT is the recommended talking therapy by NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) for depression and anxiety issues. CBT can be an alternative to medication or compliment medication to enable you to start feeling better and start moving forward with your life.
I aim to build a open, compassionate and trusting relationship to enable you to shine a light on what’s keeping your difficulties going, feeling stuck and help build helpful strategies and techniques.
