I offer a warm and welcoming counselling service supporting children, young people, and parents through challenging times. I have over 30 years’ experience in both educational settings and working with the NHS. Some of the areas that I specialise include Supporting Neurodivergent challenges, anger management, bereavement, bullying, anxiety, attachment, and relationship issues. Talking to a counsellor maybe the only time you or your child will really get to reflect and gain a new perspective. I provide a free initial phone consultation service.
My formal training is Person Centred Counselling however I use many therapies including creativity (art and crafts), sand tray therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). On your first assessment we will decide together the most suitable method of therapy to meet your requirements.
I am very passionate in helping young people with neurodivergent challenges. The NHS (Kent Community Health Foundation Trust) claim that there's around one in seven chidren neurodivergent in the UK. Meaning their brain works and processes information in a different way.
