Hello, I'm Dr Nate Speare (he/him), a Queer UKCP-registered psychotherapist offering online psychotherapy across the UK. I have particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients, Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD), intimacy and relationship concerns, sexual health and HIV, and the impact of early relationships and attachment. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, shame, disconnection, and feeling stuck in recurring patterns. Together, we can begin to understand not only your current difficulties, but also what may lie beneath them.
In therapy, we develop a shared understanding of your emotional life, identity, intimacy, and patterns that have developed through your experiences and continue to shape how you relate to yourself and others. My work is grounded in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, drawing integratively from humanistic, existential, and third-wave CBT approaches.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, particularly if you've struggled to feel understood elsewhere. Finding the right therapist can take time. I aim to offer a compassionate, thoughtful, non-judgemental space where we can explore what's difficult together, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
