Hi, I’m Natalie. I am a BACP registered Counsellor & Psychotherapist. I am a School Counsellor, Student Mental Health Mentor and run my practice, counselling Adults & Young People.
Asking for help can be daunting, especially if this is the first time you have considered counselling. The list of reasons why individuals start their counselling journey is endless. From mental health challenges such as anxiety or depression to relationship problems , trauma or low self-esteem, I will always offer you a safe, non-judgemental space, respecting the pace you need to go at. This is your journey and I am here to support you.
As a pluralistic counsellor, my top priority is working with you to help you understand what has brought you to counselling and explore ways to overcome any challenges. I will ensure that each session is tailored to your needs and preferences rather than offering a 'one size fits all' approach, so we are working in a way that feels right for you.
When counselling young people, I draw on interventions which incorporate play, creativity, therapeutic tools and activities to aid conversation and help them make sense of the challenges they are facing. It can be difficult for young people to talk about their feelings - so I aim to make this as comfortable and as safe for them as possible.
