I help people deal with anxiety or depression by looking at how past events and relationships have an effect on the present. You may be able to point to a specific reason for why you want to start counselling, or you may have a sense that things do not feel right without being able to put your finger on why. This feeling could have developed recently, or may have been with you a long time, it may come and go, or it may feel as if it never ends. Making the decision to start counselling can elicit feelings from fear to excitement, from anxiety to relief, and may even be all of those things at the same time.
