People visit a cousellor in order to feel better about themselves and their lives. I believe it is essential to be able to relate to my client before I can contribute in any way to their well-being. By taking a Humanistic approach and developing an understanding relationship with you I allow you to vent your feelings in order for healing to begin. I can help you in areas such as anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem as well as being a valuable resource for self- awareness and development. In a safe and warm environment I work with you to facilitate the changes you seek.
I take a person-centred approach to counselling, helping you to explore whatever issues, conflicts or stresses you bring, within the safety of a supportive therapeutic relationship. Starting counselling can feel a bit daunting but I provide a confidential and non judgemental setting where you will be listened to and understood.
I am caring and compassionate and dedicated to my role as a counsellor. These are challenging times and you may have experienced painful life transitions such as bereavement, retirement, divorce or relationship difficulties. I will help you to feel better or help you to be able to cope or come to terms with what can't be changed.
