The aim of counselling is to promote healing and assist clients to take the next steps forward in their lives. Whether the issues stem from unresolved historic life events, acute trauma such as bereavement, separation or abuse or general depression and anxiety. Counselling can help a client to find their way when feeling lost, with the support of a reliable, benevolent and empathic person by their side who can gently challenge, encourage exploration and hold the client through their journey.
I walk alongside my clients metaphorically and literally, offering the opportunity to walk in nature to harness the healing power of the outdoors as well as the therapeutic power of the unique relationship which forms between client and therapist.
