I am a compassionate and approachable Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years’ experience of working in mental health, both in the NHS and in private practice. I work with adolescents and adults who are seeking expert psychological assessment and therapy for a wide range of mental health difficulties (e.g.anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, low self-esteem, relationship problems, bullying, OCD, psychosis, bipolar disorder, self-harm, regulation of emotions, trauma or stemming from being autistic or having difficulties with attention, organisation and/or hyperactivity (ADHD). I also provide adult ADHD assessments.
I have extensive training & experience of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), both within the clinic and as a therapist and lead supervisor on a number of clinical research trails. I have also supervised numerous mental health professionals using CBT and delivered teaching sessions/workshops. I am also an accredited EMDR therapist with extensive experience.
I will work with you (in person or online) to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship to be able to overcome your difficulties using evidence-based psychological therapy. We will develop a shared understanding of what has brought you to therapy and develop a personalised plan to help you move forward with your life and sustain the gains you have made.
