For those who are struggling with their eating, weight, shape or appearance, I help and specialise in psychological restoration of those who have eating disorders or disordered eating. As a potential client, you may have high levels of anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, depression and body dysmorphia amongst other issues. You may be very tired with people telling you to eat more, or less. You may notice that your normal level of living is impaired in a variety of ways. You want change but don't know where to start.
In helping someone with an eating disorder or disordered eating patterns, uncovering the person underneath the eating issues is a priority. Change work is important as is helping somebody to manage their anxiety as change is imagined. More behaviourally flexible, to be able to better manage emotional states and to learn how to self care.
If you decide to start with me, I will offer you a safe environment within which you and I can discuss your deeper fears of change. I am a friendly person who will work at a pace you can manage.
