I am a qualified counsellor with a BACP Accredited qualification working to the BACP Ethical framework. My counselling is underpinned with qualifications in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, Gangs, Anger Management, Criminal Psychology and a Bsc in Adult Mental Health Nursing. I am trained Integratively but apply focus on CBT, Motivational Interviewing techniques and Humanistic Approaches. Supporting a variety of needs to help enhance the quality of life of those I support to help build resilience. I am a member of the BACP Accredited register and Accredited register for The Foundation for Infant loss.
My experience has led me to work with many large organisations including The Priory where I worked in a rehabilitation and recovery service for females with complex Mental Health (MH) needs. I also worked for Springfield MIND, a national MH charity providing Intervention for Stress, depression, anxiety & much more. I'm also a Childline volunteer.
I'm aware of the complexities individuals can face and how it can impact on our emotions, interactions, and relationships. With this in mind I feel it is important to empower people to be at the helm of the support they receive, becoming autonomous and able to build personal resilience with the right support in place. In a safe and respectful environment.
