I use a variety of methods based on my training as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I am influenced by the person-centred approach of Carl Rogers, with his emphasis on empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard. .
The needs of the client always comes first. I can help with stress, anxiety and depression; addictions, such as gambling and pornography; loneliness and bereavement; isolation and loss; guilt or resentment; obsessional thoughts; suicidal thoughts and intentions; relationship issues; self-harm; bullying; sexual and gender identity.
The counselling relationship is strictly confidential. I would not talk to anyone else about what happens in counselling without the permission of the client.
