I offer psychological therapy to adults and adolescents (aged 13 and above). I have over 17 years experience as a therapist working in senior roles in the NHS and in my private practice. My focus is on trying to help people grow and thrive in moving towards what they value in life and become more themselves. I have experience of being alongside people in helping them navigate a variety of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, anger, low self-worth, shame, relationship problems, gender dysphoria, trauma, self-harm, substance misuse, eating difficulties, personality difficulties, psychosis, and bipolar affective disorder.
I was lead psychologist for an NHS early intervention in psychosis service, and previously worked in NHS community mental health, eating disorders, and psychology outpatient services. I am passionate about therapy and take an integrative approach, drawing on a variety of therapeutic models in seeking to understand you as a person and how to help you.
We all struggle at times, but I believe that we all have a compassionate self capable of healing our hurts and leading us to health. Through our therapeutic relationship we can bring that self to the fore. I aim to be humane, empathic, and down-to-earth in the hope that my clients experience me as someone they can relate to and confide in.
