I have 20 years' experience working as a clinical psychologist in the NHS and in private practice since gaining my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Throughout this time, I have been supporting adults with a very wide range of difficulties. These include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, OCD, trauma, and emotional regulation difficulties (including personality disorders). I welcome clients to my home for therapy sessions and appreciate how important it is for people to feel comfortable and at ease in a homely and supportive place in order to explore and express such personal and challenging issues as can arise during therapy.
During this time, I have trained in a number of different therapy approaches, as I realise that it is vital that the right approach to suit the person and their needs is used. I am very experienced in delivering cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, schema therapy, systemic (family-related) therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
I am able to offer wide range of different approaches for us to explore which is right for you. I am able to offer therapy in Welsh as well as in English.
