As a Professor of psychology with academic expertise on men, masculinities, sex and relationships, I provide bespoke therapy for men’s needs. Men prefer a less emotional, no-nonsense approach to counselling. My approach is thus problem-centered, solution-focused, with practical application and flexible session lengths. My expertise is to help men with relationship problems, particularly concerning relationshp issues (and couples counseling), issues of sex, sexuality, erectile problems, cheating, sexually opening up relationships and multiple issues related to men, adolescents, and masculinities.
Most men benefit from therapy with less eye contact and while physically on the move. I thus offer therapy on the go for clients near Basingstoke, Winchester or Reading. Most men prefer therapy while walking, but I will also meet you over golf, at the gym, your work, my office, or other locations. I do telephone, not Zoom, sessions for those who live afar.
I provide a different kind of service. With 25 published books and 100 social-scientific papers, I draw on my academic expertise, decades of sport coaching, personal trainer qualification, and teaching experience in order to educate, counsel, and coach men out of needing my services. I am more expensive than most, but I help fix the issue quicker.
