I am an experienced Psychodynamic psychotherapist and EMDR therapist working in private practice in London Bridge and Weybridge and have years of experience working in NHS. Psychological problems are common and may affect anyone at any point in their lives. Some are short lived and are linked to a single traumatic event and respond well to brief focused psychotherapy such as EMDR; others may be linked to early relational problems and respond better to longer term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
My approach is collaborative, where I listen very carefully to clients and work alongside them to help establish the right treatment and to help them to understand themselves, their feelings and their circumstances better. This deep sense of understanding and self-awareness gained through psychotherapy can facilitate autonomy and meaningful change.
Starting therapy can be daunting and feeling that you have a good rapport with a therapist is important.
