Hello, I'm Mel , an experienced Psychotherapist and Counsellor working with children, teenagers and adults. My specialism is working with teenagers and young people. I help people struggling with anxiety, depression, panic disorder, anger management, social anxiety, suicidal thoughts and feeling sad. I am an Integrative Counsellor, where I draw upon many approaches to suit my clients including: Play Therapy, Trauma Focused, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy( CBT) . It takes courage to reach out and ask for support. So , it's important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with.
I will provide you with a warm confidential and non judgemental space to help you explore your thoughts ,feelings and behaviours. Which will enable you to have a greater awareness of yourself, and improve relationships with others. It can be hard reaching out for help when you have a mental health problem, but it's OK .I am here to help and guide you .
I have extensive experience working with children and young people, but have also thoroughly enjoyed working with adults too. I have worked at a local secondary school for the last seven years supporting children with challenging behaviour, low self esteem, anxiety, ADHD and much more. I worked at Pheonix Psychotherapy for two years working with adults
