I am an HCPC registered, Chartered Counselling Psychologist. I have diverse and extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (and their families) with complex and enduring mental health, neurological and physical health difficulties. I have worked in NHS hospital in-patient and out-patient services, GP practice based mental health services, secondary care and community mental health services. I have also worked in counselling services offering long term counselling and psychotherapy and occupational health services offering short term counselling and psychotherapy.
I offer weekly, one to one, Integrative psychological therapy in short term and long term/open ended contracts. My approach includes integrating Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Systemic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy models alongside Trauma and Compassion focussed therapy to help cater for the specific and individual therapeutic needs of my clients.
My focus is on the building of a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship, whereby clients can explore any difficulties they may be experiencing in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. I aim to support healing and encourage a greater sense of confidence in our ability to help ourselves both in the present and in the future.
